Update on Herrnhut

The community we live in has gone through some major structural changes over the past few months, which slowly also brought about changes in our daily lifes. As of now, Chris is mainly involved in helping on the construction site located within the house, as well as serving in musical worship with focus on the youth. I, Joy, spend my days taking care of our firstborn, jumping in here and there on design- and cleaning tasks. Community events, such as conferences, prayer weekends and the like, have continually brought us in contact with amazing people, not few of them having helpful ties to Israel. And while a lot of our spare time lately went into figuring out paper work (yes, still ^^), there will be a new focus on creative projects for this coming year. The Lord has put it on our hearts to use the peace of the current season, to pour into writing and music making. He highlighted it as a preparation of our hearts and minds, and a foundation to come back to, when the days have become louder. The details of this past and coming season can be found in our blog. Herrnhut, Germany

During the first months of our marriage we traveled around a lot between our home countries. We faced visa challenges, intense times of planning, moments of spontaneous redeciding, and were faced with the different cultural mindsets of our people. In November we finally settled in Herrnhut, Germany - A tiny city, yet rich of revival history and spiritual lessons. By Gods grace, we were allowed to move in to a christian community project in the center of the town. It combines church, guest house, prayer house and community living. We are soaking up our time here to the fullest, knowing it is only for a season. From the beginning it was clear that God would be using this time to teach us the realities of living and working together with a bigger group of people, as well as giving us practical skills on the way. Added to that, he is now slowly revealing to us how he is also using this season to grow our family and the "gold in the desert" - team... We`ll keep you posted! ;)

Getting married

We are on the way to the big goal, but every day we are also in the here and now. Every step is an opportunity to grow in our characters, become wiser, learn practical things and to faithfully carry out our future tasks - in all those small ways even now. The goal we have in mind is not one we will arrive at, but one that marks the beginning of a new level of daily devotion. This dedication is our daily exercise. Because in the end, it's not just about the result alone, but also about how we got there. The current progress is currently visible in the fact that God has brought us together as a couple. Two with the same vision, from two different parts of the world. We are currently working on becoming a strong team, so that we will be able to take on the next step together.
